Default Need Help!! A couple questions about a 99 jeep grand cherokee loredo!

Hi I am a newbie on here so hopefully I am posting in the correct place. I have a couple of questions about my loredo. First question is how do you push a harmonic balancer back into place? Tried to get out with my 4x4 and high centered. It pushed my harmonic balancer forward and broke my (new) serpentine belt. So if anyone can help on this that would be great. We only have one car so diffinately need to get it fixed.
Second question is what would cause a heater to blow cool air sometimes and hot air other times? It just started doing it this year along with a ton of other things going wrong. With everything going wrong with it I feel like I am just banging my head against a wall. If you can help I appreciate it. My husband is capable of doing it, he just needs explanations. LOL and I only have a diesel mechanic in my family.

Thanks. I didn't know exactly where to post it. So it has come apart? I guess replacing it is easiest. Is there special tools to put it in that we would need to get or can we use a regular socket set and tools? Or would it be better to take it to a mechanic?

you will need a harmonic balancer puller and 1/2 drive sockets and ratchet its not hard to do but sometimes they dont want to come off driving it should be avoided engine harm can occur at high rpms

the cold air, hot air sounds like an air bubble in the cooling system. try topping off the coolant in both the radiator and overflow tank. Or just flush and fill it.

If you have automatic climate control there is a bullitin that might apply. DTB# 2400701; you can find it on wjjeeps.com wjjeepshttp://www.wjjeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wj_2400701.pdf
