i HAVE JUST GOT A 2002GRND CHEROKEE 2002 2.7 crd. got it quite cheap with a little bit of work but nothing major I HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am stuck with some thing
when vehicle isleft overnight its hard to start in the morning but once warm its fine.
so in the morning if i turn the key and let the car crank over for about 30 secs without stopping then it will fire up. if its left for longer than a day then it gets harder to start. as i said once warm its fine. mechanic has tested glow plugs and these are fine. Can anyone shine some light on this????????

Well i dont know much about the diesel Jeeps, but, this is a common problem for us in the military with the Hummers. The Glow Plug controllers often go bad. When this happens we tell a Private to cover up the exhaust pipe, tightly with a rag and hold it there. Then we crank the heck out of it and surprisingly, it eventually starts.

has your mechanic tested the Glow Plug Controller?
