My door on drivers...plus service swtich.
 
1995 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 4X4 ORVIS LIMITED...

DOOR WILL NOT SHUT ALL THE BECAUSE PINS ARE WORE OUT...DRIVER DOOR AJAR LIGHT COMES ON, BUT IF U PULL ON THE DOOR A LITTLE IT WILL GO OFF...

I CAN SEE THE PINS IN THE DOOR ARE WORE...:thumbdown:

QUESTION IS HOW HARD IS IT TO TAKE PINS OUT OF DOOR AND REPLACE WITH NEW PINS.....?

WILL I HAVE TO TAKE DOOR ALL THE WAY OFF HINGES TO REPLACE PINS?

ALSO I HAVE A SERVICE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SWTICH COMING ON EVERY ONCE AND A WHILE ON THE WARNING PANEL....WHAT SHOULD I CHECK AND WHERE?:(

It's about as easy as pressing the caps lock key :D

and I assume you are referring to the the push switch in the door jam.

I believe he's referring to the hinge pivot "pins" themselves being excessively worn to the point where they let the door sag and not align properly with the latch mechanism. Thus not allowing the door to fully close properly. Is this correct? And, if so, you're inquiring as to the pin's replacement procedure and the difficulty involved? Is this also correct?

I saw the light issue so I thought he was referring to the "pin" switch. I wonder if he is having the same issue most other XJ owners have, and that is the actually hinge pulling off the body issue? mine drags cause of this, but the pics are fine, and I have had the door hinge welded but it broke again the moment I went wheeling.... So check the top door hinge and make sure that is not loose and looks to be pulling away...

Yes ol blue,
just wondering if they are hard to change...I have just got back from town with new pins to go in the door....

Also service four wheel drive switch is coming on the panel...
Anyone know what I should check out on this....?
