My 98 Grand Cherokee had a stroke!

I drive a 98 grand cherokee 5.2 limited.

So I was driving down the road and my passenger side front window suddenly just dropped on its own(controlled, like somebody was rolling it down). Upon further inspection, i lost all power to the passenger side. The power locks, windows, mirror, and even the door lights won't work on the entire passenger side. I've checked my fuses and they're all good. Help?

Check for broken or shorted wires in the passenger's door harness rubber boot where it comes out of the body. Very common problem. These can be fixed by soldering and shrink tubing. I suggest you don't use butt connectors because they will break there again because they don't flex. Best case scenario, you can thread a new wire thru the boot and butt splice it in inside the body and door at both ends. Otherwise you can repair it inside the boot by loosening it at one end and pulling it back to expose the wires.

Be aware that sometimes the broken wire is in the driver's door because that switch panel feeds the passenger's side as well. I've repaired several wires in 3 of the doors in my WJ.

I just learned about a BCM in grand cherokees

they are like the PCM but the BCM controls all the interior electricity. I apparently have to replace my BCM to get my interior lights to work. Considering my other jeep troubles at the moment I wont be investigating this any time soon

You can always reach in and turn the multifunction switch all the way up.
