Motor and Steering swap
Last weekend I picked up a 95 ZJ for a couple hundred buck. The guy was gonna junk it. He said the tranny is going but the motor is strong. Lucky find for me! The Motor in my 93 ZJ is starting to get really tired. I started getting a dry knock on start and its evolving into tapping at all RPMs above 3k, now its slow as crap, and my oil pressure is starting to get really low... its done!
Both Jeeps are v8. I'm looking to pull the 5.2 from the 95 and do it up nice and drop it in my 93. Are there any differences between the electrical components or will everything match up? Whatever is different I'll just reuse from the old motor... just lookin for a heads up!
Next is the steering. The 93 is all over the road!!! Steering box is very loose, no adjustment will fix it. ball joints, tierod and its ends are all shot.... The 95 is completely perfect steering wise. I'm looking to swap it all!!! From the column, to the kunckles! Any known differences between the 2?

Nice! This is exciting. The motor has 140k on it. I plan on changing every seal, gasket, and freeze out plug before dropping it in. You have any other suggestions while it's out? I only wanna do this ONCE lol
