More A/C issues... Again

More A/C issues... Again
I've tried searching up and down but cant seem to find anything from searching on google. My A/c works and blows great cold air but then all of a sudden it just shuts off. Sometimes it'll just cut right back on but other times I've learned that I can lean over and smack the fan area and lo and behold it cuts right back on. Any ideas on if there's a short or has anyone had this problem before?
