i have a miss when i start it up.
then it goes away.

ideas?

Describe miss if you can. Loud noise soft noise. any info will help out. Could be many things.

no you can just hear it in the idle. it has a miss
it only does it when it's cold, ounce i get moving it goes away

Like the rpm's go up and down just a lil bit.

not exactly.
just in the idle you can just hear and feel where it misses...

Check you plugs. Make sure they are all good. Make sure all you plugs wires are in there tight. If none of that check to plug wires and make sure its getting fire. You have a Straight 6 right? or V8?

Make sure all your plugs are fireing. And make sure you plugs are not bad.

So replace the wires but use the very best you can afford for it. I use Taylor Plug Wires and they are great. Used to have Accel but there was so much noise I couldn't listen to the radio had to listen to CDs instead.

I didnt know wires would make that big of a difference in these.

YA mine had a miss so in the dark I opened the hood and you could see about 5 places where my plug wires were arcing through onto the head..

if you are doing plugs and wires, I bet the cap and rotor are just as bad, replace those too.

I wonder how pricey cap and rotor is for these. I know for my mx-3 it was not cheap.
