Might buy this faulty 2.7D..need help
There is a 2003 2.7 Diesel Grand Cherokee near me for sale. It has the Mercedes engine in it. I am in the UK
The seller is selling it as a non runner for the following reasons.
First off it wouldn't go into 2nd gear (auto)
Next it would not start! I think it must be turning over but can't be sure yet until I speak to the guy.
Its done 126K and they want £2k for it, which is about right in the UK.
Any ideas what might be causing these issues and are they linked?
Neutral switch maybe?
I have a 2000 XJ 4.0L so don't have huge knowledge on the GC.
