i have done 6" on stock arms with my second zj, with that being said it rode like ***.
i wouldnt recommend it but you can do it, i would at least get adjustable lowers.

The higher you get with the stock links the worse the ride is going to be. For me I would not go over 2" but that is just me. If you are going over 5" I would go with a long arm.

Well I think 3.5" or 4" on stock arms is fine but when you go to 5" or 6" long arms are much better. But yeah adjustable lowers front and rear
