Okay so my 97 zj has been acting up, it died on me about 2 or 3 motnhs ago, so i replaced the fuel pump in hopes of it being bad, and that wasnt it, so i took it to the shop and it was the crank sensor, Now everything i try to start it it VERY hesitant, and just crank for a few seconds then fires up or itll fire up run very low rpm then die out, so next time i try to start it cranks right up. I just replaced the plugs still no change, ANOTHER problem is my gas mileage is HORRIBLE i use to get around 14-18 now i get 6-10 and i have no clue what happened, that just happened recently, idk if it was because i only change the plugs not the wires or what, Also when starting up cold intake sucks in VERY strong and you can hear it very loudly and the car runs really rough then when it warms up the intake isnt as loud and car runs normally, also when i go to complete stop or slow down the car wants to drop rpms so i hit the gas to keep it running so if i dont it cuts out, I know its alot but anything is a good start, these problems are annoying

Check the fuel pressure. Check engine light on?

Check compression on all cylinders. Loss of gas mileage, loss of power, rough starts, and dying when stopping are all signs of a blow head gasket. Are you losing oil? Is oil clean or have water in it? Does the antifreeze have oil in it?

The engine light was on but I unhooked the battery to clear it, an when I get off work I'm going to check the oil and antifreeze, but last time I checked it was fine, but I mightve just been over looking

The oil level and coolant level have nothing to do with the check engine light, the check engine light is for emissions sensors and actuators.

Wasn't talking about the levels. Was talking about checking to see if they have mixed.
