Manual for jeep grand cherokee

Hello,

I can't find the posts now but a few members here stronger recommended a different manual to purchase for grand cherokee's.

they basically said the haynes and chiltons are very poor manuals to use and these others are much better.

I can not recall the name of them but I do believe you buy them online and download them.

Can anyone remember or know the name of the company, website, etc so I can look at getting one.

thanks

ryan

You want a factory service manual. You may be able to find one on eBay.

It was mentioned somewhere on this forum but I can't recall where. Someone mentioned getting a chiltons or haynes manual and a few people recommend some other kind of manual.

I think its a downloadable one but can't recall I just know they said it was much better than the haynes or chiltons manual.

I think its supposed to show must better details on how to repair stuff.

Jeep Service Manual

You can try this site:

http://www.datamanuals.com/catalog/index.php/cPath/46

What I've found with the Haynes manual is that they are not as thorough in their explanations or drawings... the service manual for my '04 Grd Cherokee 4.0, 6 cyl. that I downloaded from this company above was far more comprehensive... And only cost a few $ for the pdf download!!! You can print out pages as needed or just upload to your phone, tablet or notebook.

You can also try these guys: http://www.eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp
They use Mitchel1 technicians and offer a subscription-based system ranging from a month up to 4-years, and include:
Factory Service Tips, OBD II Codes, Troubleshooting & Reset Check Engine Light, Exploded View Illustrations, Basic Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Procedures, Labor Times & Repair Cost Calculation estimates.

You can also try: https://www.techauthority.com/en-US/Pages/Home.aspx

They offer pdf downloads and physical factory service manuals.

Good luck

hello

none of those was the correct one. I won't say they was or are not some of the best but a yearly subscription isn't something i am interested in. I guess if you could do one subscription that gave you access to any vehicle and it was cheap it would be good.

I am not a major mechanic so the really hard stuff probably would not be something I would attempt.

I just wish I could remember the place recommended or find the post again. I spent a few hours looking at old posts but it was or is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

what I remember is the manuals were pretty cheap I want to say around $10 or less but they was downloaded and not something that was shipped.

i just happened to run into the manuals.

they are pacific coast or something like that.

Sent them an email asking if they had a manual for my dodge as well.

We'll see (if they have a dodge one) how it compares to the chiltons ones.

HI, I bought JEEP Service Manual on CD off ebay. Not expensive, I don't even remember, but it was few £££. It is in PDF format. Unfortunatelly, it does not cover very well my version Grand Cherokee 2004 with Merc diesel engine 2.7 CRD. But for the little money I paid it's OK. Gives some idea about repairs and maintanance. Cheers
