New here and looking to stay a member. I am going to be looking a 99 Grand Cherokee this afternoon and would like some pointers as to what to look out for (Rust issues, water leaks). Thanks.

Rust, oil leaks, weird noises, funky shifting transmission, sloppy steering, odd smells, check engine light, electrical gremlins are just a few of the things to be aware of.

Try the 4WD. This gets over looked in test drives a lot. Make sure it shifts in and out and really does go into 4WD.

Well guys i picked it up yesterday. Has some problems but i dont think they are deal breakers. I am now the proud owner of a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. A couple of the issues are drive seatbelt does not work (female end), left turn signal does not work but the right does. It also is awd but that doesnt seem to be working because i had a hell of a time getting in my driveway. If anyone can point me in the right direction to get these things fixed it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks again. Pics will be up soon!

The turn signal might be one of your relays, they are located above the fuses. I have the same problem in my 03 Grand Cherokee, I just found info about it but have not had time to investigate.
