Lifting my ZJ
 

I am going to be lifting a 95 ZJ 3.5 inches. I want to put 31" tires on it and rule the road. I have never attempted anything like this before and I am curious as to what tools and equipment other than the lift kit I will need for this modification.

Will this lift kit be a decent kit for a DD/WW Jeep? Any comments would be accepted and appreciated.

There will be instructions with the lift that should list the tools you will need. Go to the manufacturer's web site and look at the instructions beforehand to get an idea of how involved and what tools you're lacking.

A variety of sockets, wrenches, etc will be good to have. A jack and Jack stands are mandatory.

I suggest looking for a kit that has lower control arms, as well as upper control arms. Adjustable if you can.

I have no clue on suspension parts and what they do. I know the kit I want to get only comes with lower control arms. Do I need to buy upper control arms? I am having a hard time finding a lift kit with both in my price range.

The Upper Control arms length is not much different in length than the stock ones with a 3.5" lift.
