Left turn signal short

Left turn signal short
I was told its common for grand cherokee turn signal wiring to short out due to running against the body. I have a 04 jeep grand cherokee Laredo 4x4 any help is wanted. It is my back left turn signal.

Old fart with a wrench
Check your tailight assembly. Jeeps have problems with the plastic melting at the contacts in the lamp sockets and housing. Usually this causes the light to not come on, but anything is possible with Jeeps.
