KOR ROck SLiders Ordered

Woot just ordered a set of rock sliders for the jeep, will post a writeup when I get them. Should be in time for the CNC memorial day trip to coal creek.

Any suggestions on finish? Rattle can black or herculiner?

Did you go with JP Fab?

;)

Seriously though what sliders did you end up with? As for color, I'm a fan of rattle can black as its cheap and easy to touch up.

I got the Kevins Off Road ones, with the round outer bar.

Do they go on the same as XJ ones do? Legs to the unibody frame and bolts to the pinch seam? Just wondering never messed with a GC so don't have a clue.:dunno:

Yup, they have relatively the same procedure.

Or, less pics, but a few here as well...

The biggest thing I can tell you is PREP WELL before you paint. It may be a real pain, but it'll be well worth it in the long run. These sliders are built well, so measure carefully and then drill your holes. You'll also want to bend (translation: adjust) the tabs before you mount the sliders as well. Some holes are quite tight to drill, but install is pretty straight foreward, and Kevin has good instructions on his website. Anymore questions, just ask, and I'll answer whatever I can!

Later.

Looks great, thanks for the update.

Mine are painted with an epoxy enamel that they use on helicopters...but only because I got them done at work...A black rattle can it one of the best options because it'll be easy to touch up later on. I also really like the look of Rhino or Line-X, but that's a little more expensive, and I'm not sure how much of a pain it would be for touch ups later....

What? Oh...are you replying to the other thread about the 3" lift?

If so, I was just curious if UUJ1 had decided on a wheel yet, because he said he was getting some next week I believe...

My bad, I thought you were asking what wheels I was running.
