knocking from the back????

Default knocking from the back????
buddy has a 99 wj and he has this klunking noise coming from the back and cant figure it out....any info would be great thanks

It could be the rear shocks i just picked up a 90 xj and the rear shocks are popping badly

X2 on shocks,or sway bar,trac bar bushings bad or loose bolts,get under it and wiggle stuff around check bolts for tightness.

i bet his rear tailgate doesnt have the bumpstops in it "it will rattle-clunk-bang" mine made the same noise it will drive you nuts trust me easy fix though just find some rubber bumpstops from a rad support they work
