Keep Getting Code P0455 Help!
Hey,
I keep getting this code P0455. I already changed the "gas cap" thinking it was what was triggering the code, but the code came back!
What else could cause this code?
Thanks!

Prior to reading your post and reading up the Jeep workshop manual – I had no idea that an ‘Evaporative System’ was fitted to the vehicle.
P0455 – A large leak has been detected in the evaporative system.
The purpose of this system is to prevent emission of fuel tank vapours into the atmosphere.
The manual is not wonderfully clear, but this appears to be achieved by having the headspace within the fuel tank under slight vacuum. The system consists of a dozen or so components (solenoid, pump, canister, filter etc) plus connecting tubery.
If you can give the relevant tubery a visual inspection and replace if necessary (must be fuel grade) – otherwise without having a workshop manual to hand, I doubt you will be able to affect a fix.
On the plus side – the fault should not effect the running/performance of the vehicle. If you live some where hot, you could be loosing fuel due to evapouration – but this must have been the case in the olden days, before such systems were fitted to vehicles.
