2001 GC Limited 6 cyl Would not start, had no power, lights, key buzzer nothing. But what I did have was a clicking sound coming from under dash, after a bit of crawling around found it was coming from brake light sensor unit. Could push in pedal and clicking would stop, release pedal and clicking would start up again. Also found that by pulling one of the "JD power" fuses clicking would also stop. (Yeah JD power is not quite right but its late and dark outside and I ain't going out there to see but you know which one I am talking about). Left fuse out over nite - had to go to work - retried this am and clicking stopped and buzzer back and with a jump from bro in law finally got jeep to start and ran like a champ. Has anyone had a simular problem and I have "Clymers" book and looking at schematic it looks as the sensor unit may be in series "inside" the starting circuit.
Anyone have any info, first hand knowledge of a problem like this one??

Check your positive (+) battery cable clamp. It may seem tight, but they stretch and feel tight, but don't make good contact with the post. In indication of being stretched is no space between the sides of the clamp at the bolt.
