Jeep stalls and I don't know the problem!!
I just bought a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have had the Crank Shaft Sensor replaced which fixed the problem... for about 3 days. Stalling has returned and I honestly have no idea what the problem could be. I have heard the oxygen sensor could be bad or the computer. I have also heard of a few different things. It does have a slight miss but I think it might just need plugs and wires, but I don't know. I do manage to keep it running when it tries to stall, I put my foot to the floor and it comes right back to life? It only seems to happen once a day, after it stalls once it is fine. Is something shorting out? Do I have a fuel issue? Please someone help!

If you can keep it running with your foot on the gas you probably has a failing IAC motor. But with that said, a complete tune up should be in order since you really don't know the history of this rig. Spark plugs (NGK, no fancy platinum or E3 crap), wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, change the oil and filter (Wix, Mopar, or NAPA filter. NO FRAM filters!). Once you get the basic maintenance done you'll have a good base to start with and diagnose if there is a failed part or just a lack of maintenance problem. Welcome to the sickness.

Well now it stalled last night and won't start back up.... and my luck being as great as it is, it got towed.... so now saying that it won't start back up could it be the pickup coil inside the distributor? And there are no codes. it just flashes 12 (battery has been disconnected) 33 (A/C problem, which it doesn't have it) and 55 (end of codes). So now I really don't know.

I just ran into this today. I went to start my jeep, it cranked over fine but it would not start. I checked the fuel pressure with the key on, 40psi. I checked for spark, good spark. Then I checked that battery. 12.24 volts, discharged a little. Checked the voltage while cranking and the voltage dropped to 10.52 volts. So I charged the battery and it still would not start until I put my foot to the floor. This is what happened, the battery had enough juice to turn the engine over but not enough for the ignition and fuel and I flooded the engine. Holding my foot to the floor allowed more air to enter the cylinders and dry the plugs, it also puts the ECM into flood mode and cuts the fuel.

i had that issue with a discharged battery not staying cranked unless i was holding the gas pedal down... as soon as i let off the gas... should would die...
changed the battery... all is well
changed the battery... all is well
