Default Jeep Grand Cherokee Rear Wheel Hop

2013 Grand Cherokee rear wheels hop on curves and when driving over some uneven road surfaces. Feels like 6-12" at times. Enough to be concerned bouncing into adjacent lane. Not excessive speed; at most 5MPH over posted limit.

WELCOME

Should have posted on the GC forum. But anyways it could be to much air pressure in the rear tires, bad rear shocks, weak rear springs,or any combination of them.

Yep. Like in lost weights or broken belts.

Rotate the tires front to back if it still does it then its not a wheel doing its something suspension wise.

I have seen dragging brakes cause this too, as when you turn, the inside tire unloads some, and if the brakes are dragging, it can start hopping.

That vehicle probably has "Quadradrive" which has a computer controlled locker in both diffs. It sounds like the rear diff is locking up instead of allowing the free wheeling in a turn. I can see where that might cause bad cornering at speed. You'll have to get it checked out by a knowledgeable person, like a dealer.
