Hello,

I recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2000 and it will not go in reverse. All the other gears work. It is a 2WD. We replaced the solenoid and transmission filter in an attempt to get it to reverse. We found a loose wire in the transmission and also resautered it. When we tried to kick it in reverse again we heard a sound that sounded like a pump that was sucking air and no fluid. We are at a complete loss as to what is the matter with it so anyhelp would be appreciative.
