im not really illiterate when it comes to working on jeeps, but for the life of me i cant figure out how to put the bulbs in my WJ..im sure i gotta take the housings out, but cant get them to come out even when i unscrew 2 screws ontop of the housings...they get looser but i cant get them out...i even stopped by a garage that i trust and they couldnt figure out how to get it apart either...
any ides?..im sure im making this harder then it really is

wow, i figured at least one person in here had changed a bulb in a wj
i got it figured out...was doing everything correct, just had to show a little tough love...but now the 35 dollar a pair bulbs i bought for it dont exactly mount up the same as the stock ones did...i mean, the bulb it self is the exact same, but instead if it just being a straight plug in, its got a curved elbow but the plug still plugs in just fun, but i couldnt get all the tabs to lock in bc of it having a 90 degree elbow, it doesnt lay flush..but i got them in and sucured, just without one of the tabs.....and i like them...they look just like xenon head lights

Take the one 7mm bolt out of the top of the headlamp / header panel assembly. It is about 9 in long. Once it is out you just pull the assembly straight out the front. If it has never been out it make take a lot of effort to get it to pop out of the sockets and those sockets sometimes break as a result. Put a little grease on the ***** before reassembly.

thanx guys for your input...i got it figured out last night, but damn, those head lights are hard to just simply "pull straight out"..lol..i had to pry them out with a flat head screw driver..none of the tabs broke, but they sure sounded like they did once i got them loose
