Default Ignition trouble

95 gc I'm not getting power to the distributor. I replaced the coil. I have power at 1 pin of the connector(primary), nothing at the other. Should I have power there? If not? Where does that wire go? It's gray w/ white stripe

The primary plug on the coil will have key on voltage and a pulsing ground when cranking. If you don't have a pulsing but have voltage you are probably in need of a crank sensor.

Only because those are the most asked about topics in these forums. Maybe I should add " clean your battery terminals" to my sig since there are at least five no start threads going and they all are related to the battery connections.

I replaced the cps 6 mos ago. My main ? is. Should there be power at both pins? I backprobed the 8 pin connector back to terminal 19 on the pcm connector expecting continuity, I 5.06 ohms. Is that wire a return to pcm? Or being powered by it? Thanks.

Two wires to the primary side of the coil, positive and the ground is pulsed.
