How to jack my GC `93

Hi, how is the best way to use a floor jack (not the jack thats in the car) to lift my car so i can use jack stands. Front and rear. I see many different posts and someone says i could use the rear dif. but other say no. But what about the front?

I definitely prefer my floor jack! When in the back I use the pumpkin because its centered but in the front I have to jack on both sides of the axle. Just remember don't be under it when its only on a jack, always put stands under it before you do anything!!

Maybe a stupid question, but pumpkin is the dif? But is it realy safe on a old car, cant break/bend it or anything?

Its safe to do and yes the pumpkin is the diff. Its not gonna bend or break its steel.

Lol not really. And yes I meant differential, in your case 18 years old is no problem for how thick the metal is on them, it is completely safe damage wise but just don't get crazy with you movements around it until its on stands.
