Default how god/bad is slip dif?

Hi, i have slipp dif on my GC. But today a got right rear wheel in the air and i startet to spin on my left front wheel (the front rigth was high up in a gravel pile?) and the car was standing still. Is there something wrong? Shouldnt the left rear wheel startet to spin, or isnt the slip dif working like a locker?

A limited slip will slip. Which is bad. They are good for on road driving. Bad for off road. Ideally u want a selectable locker but u could put in a cheap lunchbox locker and have great results.

ok, so its normal behavior? If i mount a locker, does i need to re shim the axel (pinion etc.?).

Yes that normal. No u shouldn't have to adjust anything if you just put in a simple locker.

Just s tip if u stay with a limited slip. Press the break and gas at the same time but only slightly. This can help to make the slip lock up and get u through the obstacle.
