Default How to get '12 GC Overland KEY FOB working again???

Does anyone know how I can determine what is wrong with one of my key fob's for this 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland? It was acting flaky so I installed a fresh battery and now it doesn't work AT ALL. I've read all sorts of online voodoo witchcraft ways of syncing it up and trying to make it work, but none of them apply or work. I've been all through the manual (which sure doesn't make it easy to find) and it's worthless (unless I missed something).

My other FOB works fine, and like I said this one worked when it was real close to the receiver. but now after inStalling a new battery it won't work at all. ANY IDEA WHAT TO TRY?

Try buying another one. They are like 12 bucks on EBAY.

Good idea, but remember it has to be synced to the RKE receiver or it won't work either. A dealer can do that with a DRB scan tool.

I do know that. But I don't think trying to troubleshoot and repair a key fob is going to yield much success unless its just a contact issue between the fob and the battery.

You are right about trying to repair it. That info was for the OP.
