Considering buying a 93 Grand Cherokee for $400 that needs a new fuel pump. Ive had jeeps all my life so I'm comfortable working on them, just never worked on a grand cherokee. Wondering if someone could lay out a quick outline on how to access and replace the fuel pump on the 93 grand cherokee. Any info greatly appreciated.

if you crawl under the jeep and look at the gas tank on the front side towards the top the fuel pump will be sticking out at an angle. look at it and choose your own way to take it out

Drop the tank is about the only and best way..

My brother owns a 93 GC and the only way to get to the fuel pump is either drop the tank or cut the floor on top of the tank. Fuel pump is sitting on top of tank not the upper front like the XJs.

I just dropped the tank for a replacement pump in my 94. Its extremely easy. Theres just the 2 straps holding it up, and then the filler lines. On mine the lines were connected with clamps up under where you put gas in. If your jeep is anything like mine, you'll need some WD40 to loosen everything up.
