Ok so I went the my graveyard of metal I save up to take off to the scrap yard and came across a trampoline frame and a bunch of electric wheelchair stuff, so Imma weld together a roofrack, but what's the best way to mouth it to the jeep and how big should I make it?

I am thinking of making myself a Safari rack but sadly I do not have a welder so I think I am going the no weld route. Good luck buddy with this, I am curious to see results.

Hey I have a zj too and looking at making one too
My buddy made his for his xj and it turned out great
Search for the user black hawk and or his thread on his pirate xj
He has blueprints on how he did it

$2500, and no I don't think they have gutters, I'm new to keeps and I haven't really looked at the roof

Sorry didnt read at first that it was a ZJ. So they dont have gutter? hmm why dont they include that in all SUV?

i made mine out of conduit, yea i know its a stupid material but its all they have at the home depot, to mount it i just drilled a hole in the stock roof cross bars, and bolted it to that. not the best or safest way but it got the job done
