Hi to all
Greetings from a new Jeep owner. An april 2004 Grand Cherokee, 2.7 litre diesel.
We, the missus and self, picked up our new motor yesterday. We have been suffering with unusual high snow fall and low temperatures and already the Jeep is making life much easier.
However a little help from those in the know would be appreciated.
I've checked the coolant level, although there's plenty visible in the expansion tank, the idiot light shows it to be low.
A greater concern is that is has a concentration level of approx 15% antifreeze. I would prefer to drain and replace when the weather improves, but does anyone know the level of low temperature protection given by this % of antifreeze?
Also what is the capacity of the coolant system?
This having the Mercedes engine, and they having suffered problems from the fitted Valeo radiators allowing engine coolant to contaminate the transmission, does anyone know if Jeep has had similar issues?
Thanks in advance for any help given.
