Help! 2wd to 4wd Full

Hey everybody, I recently bought a 96 Grand Cherokee Laredo that had a busted Graphic Display Monitor. The car's currently been in 2wd, and I am trying to shift it to 4wd Full, however I'm not entirely sure if I'm in 4wd Part time or 4wd Full time whenever I try to shift it. If somebody could post a photo of their selec-track with the lever in 4wd Full Time position that would greatly help me out! (or at least instruct me better than the manual would be nice too)
Here is where it currently is. I'm not sure where it should be for 4wd FullTime

T/C lever:
all the way forward, 2wd
1st notch back, 4 (hi) part time (not for use on dry pavement)
2nd notch back, 4 (hi) full time
3rd notch back (will stop at the gate), Neutral
Nudge lever to right & pull back at the same time, 4 lo

Thanks! But I can only move it down 1 before I have to move it to the right and down. Is it stuck in 4wd Part Time? Currently (if we look at the photo) the lever is in between 4wd pt and 2wd where the top of the lever touches where the 2wd mark is and the lower end touches where the 4wd pt is. A picture or video would greatly help!

Linkage needs to be adjusted.

So here's a close up photo of where the lever is at now. Telling how the bottom of the lever is at the 4wd pt mark and I can only seem to move it down one more time before needing to move it to the right, a part of me feels like it is currently in the 4wd pt position; however, because it feels like the lever cannot go up any further, I feel like it is currently at the 2wd position; but I am still very unsure. I'm a visual learner, so if someone could send me a photo of what the levers look like in the different position, that would greatly help out!

there are several variables, and someone elses lever position could be correct and still vary from yours.

Check the TCase shift linkage. Often these parts may come loose, or even break!

The lever should be fully forward with no room left in the slot to be in 2wd. Your jeep has linkage rods that are adjustable with a slider and friction lock bolt. There is a torque shaft that rotates in bushings on the frame and t/case ends. the frame end bushing is notorious for popping out of it's bracket.

Here's the way to fix it. Make sure that bushing is in place, then spray the linkage with PB Blaster to loosen up the rust, loosen the slider clamp bolt. After the linkage is loose enough to slide, place the t/case side lever in 2wd and make sure it's in by trying to turn the front shaft. (Whoops, the front wheels must be off the ground for this or at least one jacked up.) When it turns freely, place the shift lever in the cabin all the way forward as far as it will go, then lock the slider bolt. After doing this, check for neutral with it running. You should feel 2 distinct shift positions before the lever hits the detent, then must be moved sideways to get to neutral. In other words, when it hits the detent stop, it should be in 4 full time. The detent stop is there so you don't accidentally put it in neutral while shifting on the road. At least that's how it works in my WJ. Mine shifts with a cable, but the t/case side lever is the same.
