heat and AC fan replace/write up
anyone have a write up for replacing the resistor or what ever it is to get that dash fan to work. i've searched but to no avail

Wow...I am responding to 2 of your posts today.
Under the dash (passengers side) you will see a black box about 2" x 3" .
Disconnect your battery first!!!
There is a connector plugged into it. Attempt to remove the plug....but the issue is with the plug melting to the resistor housing so you may not be able to remove it. I had to cut the wires close to the resistor box to give me as much wire coming from the dash to work with. Bring the resistor box to your bench and try to remove the plug.....take note what color wires are where going into the plug/box. I literally had to cut the freakin thing out. You will see burnt wires and plastic.
Re-strip the wires and solder them to the terminals in the correct order as noted. Before you reinstall it completely....connect your battery and see if the fan comes on. If your fan DOES NOT come on....it could be the resistor is BAD. If the fan comes ON.....it was just that burnt connector causing a bad /intermittent connection (Common problem).
