headlight assembly removal / replacement ?
I just purchased a 2001 Grand Cherokee Loredo and I bought new headlight assemblies for it but not sure how to remove the old ones?? Please help. Thanks in advance.

If it's like my 99 Grand C. open the hood and look on top of the lights. There will be one hex head bolt (called a jackscrew per manual). Remove it, IIRC it's about 4" long,
now grab the headlight assembly on the sides and pull. It should pop out, but may take a little force. Now remove wiring harness or just remove the light scokets from the assembly. Install is reverse. I have it on a cd, trying to figure how to cut and paste it.

I googled it first but it sure sounds a lot different from what the other board member stated. I'd rather hear it from an actual Cherokee owner from the board instead. Who knows better that somebody who's actually done it.
