i just got a 98 grand cherokee, it just had a lot of work like ckank shaft, transmition, speed sencor, and a couple other things. i started to drive it today, and when going down the road it would start acking like its runing out of gas. so i put gas in it. started going agian and it started doing it agian but i was stoped, and when stoped it wantes to jump forwerd even on the break. i dont know what it could be it runs around 700 + 800 rpm at idle but when its startes acking up it drops to about 600 and jumpes up to about 1000+1100 rpm. and when im driving it just fells like it wants to stall but grips and if u step on the gas it hesitas and when will grab.

Sorry im new to the form and just wounding if any one could help me out with my problem.

Something might have gotten beaten up during other repairs but check your sensors. IAC and also fuel filter/ pump. Check the forums for how to check em cause I've personally never had to check em yet :knock: you can def get it fixed right good luck

thanks i will take a look at thge fule fillter but if you dont mine me asking what is the (iac), but if any one els has some ideas let me know plz

Hey not sure why I never responded to you but the IAC is the idle air control
Sensor. When this gets dirty and worn you'll Stutter and can stall when at red lights and such
