Having a Shop Permanently Fix AC Drain Issue
So I read the thread where a guy cut a rectangular hole behind the passenger front wheel and attached a piece of hose and a hose clamp to make the water drain outside of the vehicle instead of on the passenger floorboard.
I have about an inch of standing water and wanted to have this fixed like the post I referred to. I don't have the tools to do it and I'm not sure where I could take it to have this done. I doubt the dealer would cut into the frame rail so what are my options?
Is it feasible to drill a couple 1/4 inch holes into the frame itself or is this a terrible idea? I would have imagined having water in that area was a terrible idea to begin with but I'm no engineer.
Any advice on having a shop perform a *PERMANENT* fix would be greatly appreciated. I'm not interested in incorporating shoving **** into the ac drain as part of my routine vehicle maintenance.

Read my post there. Drain tube may not be behind the wheel. Everything I read said that's where mine would be but it was actually right above the starter. Access from underneath and hard to spot as it only sticks through the firewall a couple of inches. My fix is working perfectly.
