grand cherokee limited 1999 Trouble with replacing front drive shaft
I went to U-Pull-It junk yard and took out a front drive shaft from a 2000 grand cherokee limited. The guys did a lot of checking and had different opinions of it fitting and finally told me if it doesn't fit I can return it and exchange. When trying to put it in, it is like 1/2 inch to 1 inch too short. Is there anyway in making this fit? I was told it should interchange out of any gclimited from 99-06. Any ideas? Both are V-8 engine.

Old fart with a wrench
I'm assuming this is a CV joint axle? Loosen the locknut and it slides, install it, and tighten the locknut.
