Default Can I install a steering damper on 2019 Grand Cherokee

After having a 2014 Cherokee with the Death Wobble when being towed, I now have a 2019 Grand Cherokee.
Some folks complain that it also has the death wobble. But unlike the cherokee, Jeep has not released a towing harness which enables the EPS while towing.
My thought was that a steering damper could help this problem, but I can't find one that is applicable to the late model Grand Cherokees.

Any thought??

Thanks,

Dan

Sorry if I'm in the wrong place I'm new here, and have a problem that has me stumped. I purchased a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo for my daughters first car. The Jeep had a blown engine (#3 piston skirt sheared off) rebuilt the engine re installed it and got it running like a top, took about a year to complete it all. The WJ had 207k on the clock when I purchased it so I have been replacing things as I find them to get the Jeep safe and reliable, and I have run into a major problem. The high beams won’t stay on. I pull the multifunction switch back and the high beams and indicator comes on but as soon as I release it the high beams go off, but the indicator stays on. So I started attacking the problem. I pulled a two multi-function switches from my local u pull, neither fixed the problem. I replaced the resistors, no dice. I chased down as many grounds as I could locate cleaned them and nothing. Thinking what are the odds I purchased a new multi-function switch on the outside chance that all three previous were bad, No Bueno. From the research I have done so far I have learned that there are two separate resistors that are ground activated, that’s why I started cleaning grounds. Is it possible that the Body control module is bad? There was also an aftermarket radio in it and I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not. The air bag light is on but the horn and cruise control work fine so I know the clock spring is good. I found a service bulletin saying to replace the air bag module with one form a 2004 because they were redesigned so I assume that will fix the problem when I get to it. I hope someone has an idea…I see this problem all over the web but with no solution.
Thanks,
Joe

Default Sirius USASpec Box Location

Does anyone know where to find the Sirius USA Spec box controller for a 2013 Grand Cherokee? I either need to smash it or disconnect the barker commercial that incessantly yells at me.

Default Compatibility Question

My daughter owns a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited v8 which runs great but needs a little but cosmetic work as well as tire rods and overall steering correction needed.... My friend has a 2001 Jeep grand Cherokee v6 laredo that has a transmission out. Its been in my driveway for nearly 9 months and honestly I want to buy it and strip it for making my daughter's Jeep better. What is the best resource i can use to check compatibility when it comes to roof liner, panels, tire rods, etc between the two? I want to see if it would be worth purchasing. I already know some parts are interchangeable, but i want to see if the juice is worth the squeeze. Idk how he owes money on it still but he is set on his price. Any help would be great outside of obviously engine parts is a no go.

Default Air in new radiator after overheating 2001 Grand Cherokee 4.0

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with a 4.0 motor. My daughter ignored a check coolant level warning and the next day the Jeep overheated. I'm not sure how long she drove the car hot before she pulled off the road. The car had a burst radiator and otherwise seem fine. I replaced the radiator, all hoses, swapped the 195° thermostat for a 180° since summer is coming. Everything went together fine and I bled the air out of the system as best I could. The next day my daughter reported that the Jeep had overheated momentarily and then the temperature came back down. The temperature gauge was swinging up and down. I assumed I had not gotten enough air out of the system. I bough a Spill Proof Radiator Coolant Filling Funnel kit so that I could do a proper air bleed of the cooling system. I started the motor and the bubbles kept coming up out of the radiator. But, they never stopped coming up. I ran the car for an hour and bubbles keep bubbling up through the funnel. There's absolutely no visible leak anywhere. Do you think I have blown the head gasket? Or worse, is this one of the motors with the cylinder head that cracks when overheated. I was thinking about buying a kit to do a chemical test to see if there is exhaust in the coolant system. Or, am I wasting my time because it's obvious? I appreciate any help you guys could give me. Thanks a lot. Charlie

As far as I know the bodies are identical. The powertrain electronics aren't. The rear axle is different. It may not have power seats, memory mirrors, or the automatic climate control heater either. All the sheetmetal and glass is the same. Instrument cluster and gauges are different. Check wjjeeps.com

The rear passenger seat on my son's 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland does not release to fold down when we pull the release lever. Feels like the cable has stretched. Fortunately am able to rescue by dismantling all the cover trim bezels and striking the release cam, but need a better solution.
Questions:
1. Anyone have a solution, short of going to the dealer?
2.Is the cable adjustable, somehow

If verified than yes, the Welch plugs on rear of engine block are accessed by removing transmission. Remove inspection plates and use a dental mirror and good light to verify that plug is corroded/leaking.

Default 1996 grand cherokee parasitic current draw

Hi,

This is a 96 jeep grand Cherokee, 6cyl 2wd. The battery would drain down if not driven everyday. I put a current meter on the battery and found 197ma draw constantly when it's off. This is my wife's, my jeep 96 Cherokee country 4wd only draws about 80ma when off.
I found the offending connector under the dash on the passenger side and went over all the connections and found the wire -- one purple wire. I pulled the wire and the current drain went away. The only thing that's different is the interior lights don't come on when you open the door but they do come on when you turn the key and start it if the door is open.

Anyone ever seen this? I have no idea where this wire goes, just that it fixed the current draw.

Thanks in advance!!

Default ZJ Laredo 1993

So, I have a situation here. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 1993. I had replace the turn signals and running lights with LEDs, excluding the 194 bulbs on the sides. A day goes by, and now my vac starts flashing along with the turn signal and whenever I press the brake. It also is displaying the warning that there is a rear bulb failure. Long story short, I went ahead replace all the bulbs back in the problem has not disappeared, the problems that has progressed to the point that my rear brake lights and license plate lights will dimly flash along with the left turn signal. What on Earth am I supposed to do?

Default quadra lift

can you put the Quadra lift air suspension on a 2015 jeep grand Cherokee altitude if it didn't come with it?
or can you put any aftermarket air suspension on it?
