Old fart with a wrench
It's circuit breaker #2 in the junction box under the dash. 25amp. There is a power seat control module somewhere nearby also. It's in the FSM 8W-63-7. The heated seats are fuse 20.

How hard do you think it would be to replace this?
I have never done this before.
Looks like just two bolts. Will the axle shift and cause problems with lining it up?
The part with the bushings is $50. They want $21 each for the bolts. I got a quote for $220 out the door from a local "mechanic".
Should I give it a try? Or is $120 for labor worth any potential aggravation?
Thoughts from the experts?

I had that happen on my first grand cherokee and that was a easy enough fix, did have to cut one of the bolts and get a new one. Lining the axle up after if need be can likely be done with a jack on the subframe. I just helped someone do all four on a lifted grand and that's how we lined them up with the tires on the ground

Is that something I need to worry about?

I don't believe so. I've had to replace rears on a couple of my grands and fronts on a couple and have never had any issues with any of that stuff.

The next idea is to rip the seats front and back out of the parts jeep and go to non-power light gray seats that all match .

So I have a question on the rear hatch...some of you may recall that my liftgate open light has been on and off for a while now...yesterday while wheeling, my liftgate opened on its own, on a trail, and I had to stop my jeep to close it as to not hit a branch with it...close it and move on and it doesn't catch , opens again....I have two parts hatches but not sure if it's the latches I should focus on or something else causing the thing to open on its own....

So another question on a 98 grand cherokee, gauge lighting cuts in and out randomly and I assume it's a short just not sure where I should start looking. Wire, dimmer switch...idk

Dimmer switch. Those slide switches in the ZJs are notorious for that. You can take it out of the dash and spray it with contact cleaner, but that's just a stop-gap measure.

Oh must be just copper lines with the contacts on them and the copper is likely wearing thin? The jeep is currently in long island but will be back home shortly. I'll have to take a look at it and try that. Thanks for the info

07 3.7 jeep grand cherokee rough idle
My 07 3.7 grand Cherokee is idling rough. All the suggestions so far refer to the Aic but my 07 does not have an Air Intake Control Sensor. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone and anyone that may have the answer to this question...
I have a 01 WJ that was infested with rats and rats being what they are, wires got ate up....I rewired the damaged things and replaced the crank sensor in it. Fired up right away for the first time since I got it . Fast forward a few days and I did the brakes and welded a hole up in the exhaust then put the battery back in to hear how she sounds....nothing but cranking...
The battery gauge goes to 9 and stops. The gas gauge does nothing. Tach does nothing while cranking.. I'm lost. Was told the sensor I just put in May be bad...but even when it was chewed the gauges still worked...help please.

Use a multimeter and check the actual battery voltage on the posts, not the cables. If it truly is only 9 volts, that's not enough for the PCM to function. You may have losses in the battery cables from corrosion inside the insulation or bad contact at the terminals, especially on the smaller red wire that goes to the fuse/relay box.
The PCM has a voltage controller that changes the 12 volts to 5 volts for the logic. A 25% decrease in input voltage will result in a 25% reduction of the logic voltage, not enough for proper function.
