Jeep starting issue
I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. My vehicle was working just fine last night. I woke up this morning to leave for church and my jeep wouldn't not start, crank or turn . None of the lights on dash or radio would turn on. I open the hood and started to hear a clicking noise by the fuse box. What is going on with my truck. Can someone please help me?

Old fart with a wrench
Crazy question; After driving in the rain, why does the bottom of my WJ smell like a wet dog? Kinda that damp, musty smell. The only thing I can think of is water steaming out of wet brake pads. Thoughts?

Beach Bum
My WJ carpet was soaked when I got it. The fix was simple, add a piece of down-turned hose to the AC drain that exits firewall. The drain is just a stub that is horizontal. Water runs out the tube then along underside of tube and back into cab. I understand that this drain could also be for the cowl. So every time it rains, water intrudes. Once I attached a 5" piece of hose, have not had any water issues.
The only way to dry the carpet is to remove it. Mine smelled very bad, but once I cleaned and dried it with a wet-vac and shampoo there was no more odor.
Also, when carpet was wet and I turned on heat or AC to floor vents, the smell became much more noticeable.

No, this outside near the wheels, not inside. That I could have figured out. It's only an occasional whiff, not continuous. I've noticed the same smell for many years with certain cars when I worked at Valvoline and only after it rains and only underneath. I only noticed mine after I switched from ceramic pads to semi-metallic ones. It's not obnoxious, just interesting, and I could never figure out the source.
BTW, the carpets are dry.

04 Grand Cherokee fan problem possibley
I have a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland edition 4.7L high output.
after driving for about 20 minutes or so, when i come to a stop my fan kicks into high gear and my heat gauge goes up to right under the red line, about 250. as soon as i pump the gas the fan goes back to normal sounding for a moment and then goes back up and it stays at 250. when i start to drive it goes down to about 210 very quickly and my fan is back to sounding normal.
its idling normal, it just sounds like i have my foot stuck on the throttle when i come to a stop. i just replaced my radiator about a month ago, all my fluids are good, i pushed the fan with my hand and it goes freely no troubles. never had any problems with the jeep.
any suggestions would help, im at a stand still on where to start, thank you!
