Fuel Line schematic??
Hi all. I am looking for a schematic of the fuel lines for a 2000 grand Cherokee. I just noticed a fuel leak up behind the intake manifold and wanted to see how elaborate it is going to be to fix. Also does anyone know where I can get the stock replacement Fuel lines?
Thanks Josh. (Noob) |
Hi Josh,
I have just posted a similar thread relating to a fuel leak originating from the fuel pump connector on my 99 GK? According to my Haynes Manual the later models have a pressure relief valve built into the pump head and, (if this is the case), I would suspect that the fuel feed will lead to the injector rail but there will be no return feed, (although I can't confirm this theory). I definitely have a return fuel line and, (despite changing the fuel pump to in line filter fuel line and the leaky connector), the leak is still taunting me and I am now thinking/hoping that I have a blocked return line that is resulting in too high a pressure that is exceeding the connector 'o' ring specification, (otherwise I am clutching at straws)! I had a similar problem on a Ducati where the fuel rail pressure was too high and it forced the fuel out of the carbs. Not sure if this will assist you but you never know! |
