Default fuel in exhaust and runs on on 5 cylinders

hi all
last week i bought a 1994 Grand Cherokee 4.0.
the old owner says: only the alternator and one spark plug wire is dead.
ok, today i change the alternator and the spark plugs, rotor distributor cap and spark plug wires.
i start the engine and the volt-meter says only 12V
i open the fuse box and the 2 fuses with 60A was blown.
so i change the fuses and start again, ok, the alternator is now working.
But the engine runs only on 5 cylinders and smokes like hell and the fuel is dripping out of the exhaust.

a friend of mine says: hole in piston
i donīt think so.

i pull of the spark plug wire from the 5th cylinder is no change.
when i accelerate over 2000 rpm i think all 6 cylinders works.

and one time, the engine runs in idle, the engine shut off.
i will start again, no reaction.
i can not hear the fuel pump.
so i disconnect the batterie, wait a little, connect the batterie again, switch on ignition an the fuel pump works again and the engine starts.

can it be the crankshaft position senson or a another sensor ?
or the engine dead ?

thanks for all ideas

Do compression test and make sure all of the cylinders are mechanicly sound, if you have good compression it means you have either a fuel or ignition problem. What color is the smoke coming out of the exhaust?

It kind of sounds like an injector is stuck wide open, cyl #5? It would be pretty easy to pull the injectors and see. Does cyl #5 spark plug look wet and fuel fouled? White smoke can be caused by unburned fuel, I have seen this before. Maybe pull the injectors with fuel rail attached and turn the key to on position to see if the suspect injector is dumping fuel.

Ok it realy sounds like #5 injector needs to be looked at. When you pull the fuel rail/injectors up to see if its stuck open, do this test with the electrical connector both plugged and un-plugged. This will tell you if its stuck mechanically or electrically.

i read in the book, the camshaft position sensor, located in the distributor.
if its posible that thing will not work correct ?

Are you saying its running on all 6 cylinders now, or that they all have good compression? Is cyl #5 still dead? Is it still smoking, and if so do you have any idea what the smoke smells like ( oil, fuel, kind of a sweet smell) ?

no, that only will say, the compression test was ok, also cylinder 5 have full compression.
no dead engine, but the problem is still going on with the smoke and running on 5 cylinders

Disconnect the power to injector 5 and see if the smoke goes away. Also try pulling the fuel rail like has been suggested.

Use a 12 volt test light and see if you have power and ground at the #5 injector plug. I think the injectors ar switch on and off by the ground circuit in the PCM and have constant voltage when the engine is running.
