Question Front End Swap

Ok I asked about the rear end swap on my 95 Grand Cherokee, you guys are very very helpful, but now I ask yet again.
My front end Dana 35/373 ratio/ 5 lug. Is there anything that can swap, maybe a little mod, not much tho. I dont have thousands of dollars to spend. 1500ish would be my max.
thank you again,
Robert Jackson

Your front is a D30 just to clarify.

There is nothing thats close to bolt in for the Grandcherokee or cherokee other then the wrangler D44 front(not sure on exact years) which is a D30 with a 8.5" ring gear. not a huge gain for the money that people ask for them. However you could find them with 4.10's or 4.56's and factory lockers... most around me go for about 700-1300 depending on current demand. So this would fit your budget, but wouldn't net you the gains to be worth it IMO. I would rather install a locker and alloy shafts in the D30 and run it until it gives you problems.

Although if you can weld, the TNT front truss makes axle sways pretty simple and user friendly for a first swap. making it possible to use wagoneer D44(6 lug, 6x5.5) or a Ford EB D44 (5 lug, 5x5.5 lug pattern) ect, but then you would have to make the rear match.... lots of options really. but limited for "Bolt in"

The D30 should be ok with alloy shafts on 35's as long as your not abusive with the skinny pedal. But the weak link would be the ring gear, which is why people still swap the D44 to make it a better balenced setup. but is it worth the $$ to you is the real question...

what size tires are you planing on running?

You can build the D30 to handle 37" tires if you add chomoly axle shafts and truss it. That's what my brother-in-law did on his TJ and has had it that way for about 5 years now.
