Default front driveline removal

can i remove the front driveshaft in an effort to improve mileage without causing other problems?? spring/summer/fall mainly, re-install for winter months. 96 all-wheel drive, 5.2 grand cher.

it's not gonna gain you any mpg's and it's not good on the viscious coupler in your t-case..and if you do this in a pre 96 the jeep can roll when in park

no, you will destroy the t-case. the vc in the 249 t-case will be constantly spinning and will wear it out.

besides, the gears and t-case will still be spinning, so you won't gain anything.
