Front Diff swap question

Front Diff swap question
Hey all thanks for this site!!!
Ok so I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee 360 cid quadratrac AWD
its all stock no build ups yet.
Big problem right now is the front end, when the jeep was bought there was a slight rub sound in the front end, All ujoints needed replacing, DONE. Finally one of the front bearings went out unfortunatley the driver ....somehow....didnt notice. now im pretty sure that there are broken axles involved, or atleast damaged gears inside. Ive tracked down a couple of front ends to swap out parts. Big question is...for a backyard mechanic... how big of a job is this going to be?
Ive done rear diffs on american muscles but 4x4 front ends ive never worked on. Any and all tips tricks, comments, very much appreciated thanks!

Pull the front hub-bearings to get the axles out. To remove them. >-> http://jeep.off-road.com/jeep/articl....jsp?id=257794
The diff part you should be able to handle, according to your post.

Dan Thanks for the link thats awesome!! Good to be hear! After searching this site a bit I never knew just how straight up fun 4x4's can be!! Now im really looking forward to makin some mods!
