Default Front diff cover oil leak

Just noticed the front diff cover on my 2000 WJ is leaking oil - is this a common problem and is it an easy job to fix ?

Why not? It's just the coverbolts and some sealer.

make sure its not leaking from the pinion seal and running down the diff.
if it is just the cover, just unbolt it, let all the fluid drain, clean the cover mating surfaces, apply some RTV, bolt her back together, and fill it up with gear oil. easy peasy
