Default Frame & Undercarriage.

Just got a 96 GC Laredo, Would like to know if there is much or any differance between the XJ and the ZJ Frames/Undercarriages ? Would like to know before I upgrade/build for mudd'in or trails. Thanks.

Welcome to CF.
The only real difference is that the XJ has coil springs in front, leaf springs in the rear while the ZJ has coil springs front and rear.
The V8 ZJ's have a solid, rather than hollow pitman arm on the steering, and lots of people use it as a cheap upgrade on their XJ's, and I assume I-6 ZJ's too.

The wheel base is about 4 inches longer for the ZJ, so things like XJ frame stiffeners may not work on a ZJ.
