found new problem on the 96 gc
i took the gc for a ride today after changing the distributor...after a couple miles it stalled on me again...i had a remote starter switch with me so i turned the key on and wiggled wires while i cranked it...when i wiggled the plug on the pcm it started right up..when i let go of the plug it died..so i put some tension on it with bailing wire and got it home...so i guess i'll be pulling the pcm and fixing some solder joints...i'd appreciate any advice from anyone that has done this before,,,thanks in advance

I can leave these for you to look at..

i took the pcm apart and fixed it...it runs great and never stalls or sputters...but its still hard to start after it sets for a while...if you shut it off and restart it..it starts immediately...but if it sits for a while it cranks for a while before it finally starts..any ideas?....thanks in advance

AGAIN....Have you checked it for holding fuel pressure?
|
nope..i still havent rounded up a fuel pressure gauge...what should the pressure be on it?
|
On your 96 it should be 37 to 41 psi idling and it should hold most of that pressure overnight at least. There should be SOME pressure after a few days as well. Maybe just enough to wet your finger, but not nothing.

update...i replaced the battery terminals a few days ago and so far so good..it is starting right up....hopefully it stays good ,,thanks again guys
