Default Finally time for a lift, got a question

So I've finally saved up some money, wondering what lift to get. I dont want anything to high, just looking to be a bit more aggressive looking.

I've got my eye on a rustys 2.5" lift kit for my 03 wj, is it worth the money? if i get this what else should i expect to have to do?

thanks in advance guys,
Nick

On a 2.5 lift I don't think you need to change/ adjust much. I know you don't on a 2 lift, I'm guessing you could get away ok with a 2.5. Anything over and your looking at longer or adjustable control arms, trac bar, maybe throw in some bumpstops. Drop the transfer case, maybe the rear axle aswell. That's assuming the lift is springs and shocks
Not sure about rustys kit buy from what I read on here it sounds good. I would say not to go with rough country. I have had a lot of problems with their 4'' RCX lift. Although they have been helpful with replacements

O and make to check all your bushes joints etc underneath before or during the lift process. Any wear and year seems to be noticed a lot more once it's lifted. I had to change quite a few on my last wj
Hope this helps a little

decide what size tires you want to end up with and get a lift to fit. Saves time and money in the long run. If you just want a little more stance, you might could to the front to rear swap (look it up). I assume it works on WJs.

I know several with Rough Country lifts and their main complaint is the bushings wearing out. Like Jemo said, they're pretty good about replacing them but who wants to keep doing it? I don't know about Rusty's lift kits but there used to be alot of complaints about anything they sell that contains moving parts, LOL.

yeah but that's an XJ, right? ZJ kits are usually a lot more.

im referring to a wj, not a zj or an xj. im not looking to go too high and I've only found either the rustys 2.5 in lift kit or various 2 inch spacers. the Rustys lift kit seems to be the best bang for the buck at $350.

Go with rustys, dont waste your money on spacers unless your just going for looks.

No I actually was going to pull the trigger on it the other day, but failed my state inspection so making her street legal is first now.
