exhaust hanger
 

Recently bought a 94 Jeep GCL ZJ 4.0L I6 w/90k.

Working out small things.

Had some thumping at rear (slow, rough road), re-hung exhaust a little better, looking into hatch bumpers (but that's another story).

Noticed front exhaust hanger is similar to rear - bent rod (tube?) welded in front of cat to pipe and bolted to an offset rubber hanger.

Short of welding or changing major components (no leaks) is there a standard existing hanger that would bolt around pipe and bolt into the hanger (to the side of pipe). I can picture one (as on engineer) but haven't seen one out there yet.

And you probably won't see one either. Nobody would buy one if all it takes is to weld a piece of round stock to the pipe. I once saw a truck with 2 muffler clamps holding a piece of steel to the pipe, but that was tacky.
