About a month ago, and now today, my wife's Grand Cherokee will start fine, but won't run unless she keeps her foot partially down on the gas pedal. After of few minutes of this, the car will return to normal. Both times the car was sitting for over 6 hours when the problem occurred. It is a 2000 GC with the 5.7 V8, 115,000 miles. Any issues or known problems that would cause this? Thanks in advance for your replies. Car runs fine other than this issue.

I assume you meant the 4.7 V8?
My guess is the FPR is letting the fuel pressure bleed off while sitting and not running. JMO

Ooops, yeah, meant the 4.7. Must've been thinking of my boat engine. I'll check out what you suggested Blue. Thanks!

Check the FP at the schrader valve on the fuel rail while it's running, then after it sits.
And Welcome to CF!

I just went through the same thing on mine. It ended up being the battery. Check my thread to see what I went through.
