Engine swap
Hi everyone, I have a question that I need to ask. My son has a 2002 grand Cherokee, the motor sounds like someone is hitting it with a hammer. Seems like it is coming from the front of the motor right by the cylinder head. Over 200k miles. I checked to see if it was a collapsed lifter. Nope. Anything else I could look at ? Also would a 2005 wrangler LJ Rubicon engine work . There is one for sale nearby, but some things look a little different in the pictures. Thanks for your help, Laz😀.
